Timeline
Problem
The WEL Foundation hadn’t updated its website in over a decade. As a board member and lead designer on this project, I helped lead a complete overhaul—modernizing the foundation's digital presence, improving usability, and making it easier for people to understand what the foundation does, why it matters, and how to get involved.
The old site was outdated, hard to navigate, and failed to communicate the foundation’s purpose or impact. Key actions—like signing up for events, applying for scholarships, or donating—were buried or missing entirely. We needed to:
Clarify the mission and values
Make the experience intuitive and action-driven
Highlight past impact and future opportunities
Enable donations, signups, and newsletter subscriptions with ease
Approach
Worked with the board to craft a clear, purpose-driven mission and messaging strategy to unify the site’s content.
Reorganized content into clear, actionable sections:

Modular project cards with visuals and impact summaries
Reflection
This project was personal—I’m on the board, and I care deeply about the Foundation and the communities we serve. Designing this new experience wasn’t just about aesthetics—it was about storytelling, accessibility, and enabling real-world impact.
Impact metrics TBD.
